Helpful and Accommodating to Everyone’s Needs

I have been teaching yoga at the beautiful Margaret Aylward Centre, Glasnevin since last September 2019. The venue is a very tranquil one, clean, bright, warm and spacious, with all amenities, including good wheelchair accessibility, plus – it has a kitchen.  Being in a building that’s comforted by lots of fabulous green, big old trees and wildflowers is so therapeutic.

Both Noirin – Director, and Geraldine – Secretary, are very helpful and accommodating to everyone’s needs.   Yoga mats are provided at the centre, and blocks and blankets, but you can feel free to bring your own, if you wish. The view from the yoga studio – out to nature, is breath-taking.

I give two classes each Wednesday:  4.15.pm  +  6.pm. The practice comes from a hatha foundation , using a very mindful ,somatic/therapeutic approach. It’s open to all abilities, male and female, age 15 – adults. All bookings/payments must go via the centre. We hope to meet you there.

Sincerely & Warmly,

  • Christina Breen, Chroi Yoga

The brightness of the venue, the modern rooms and facilities, the peacefulness of the surroundings and the space to allow us conduct our meeting in a relaxed and quiet environment was much appreciated.

An Oasis in a Busy City

On behalf of Barnardos  I’d like to thank you for the use of your wonderful facilities for our recent Regional Staff Day. The facilities were bright, airy, modern and lacked for nothing.

The surroundings were like and oasis in the middle of a very busy city and had a wonderful view overlooking the Botanic Gardens which was a lovely bonus.  You and the team made all of us feel most welcome and we will certainly be planning to use the facilities again.

No Hesitation in Recommending the Centre

We had a full day management offsite meeting at the centre.  The room was wonderful, the audio visual and Internet worked first time (this is a rare event in most conference places!) and the staff were very attentive.  The whole experience made for a very productive day and I have no hesitation in recommending the centre.

An Ideal Venue

Our team spent a reflection day at the centre and it is a fantastic place. The location is very central but the setting is wonderful.  The grounds run down to the Tolka, on the other side of which are the Botanic Gardens. The centre is modern, bright, and welcoming, and fully wheelchair accessible. The staff are friendly and helpful. If there is one tiny drawback it is that there aren’t onsite catering facilities – other than tea/coffee, however the Botanic Gardens are a 5 minute walk away with The Tolka House pub, the Washer Woman restaurant and a coffee shop, all of which serve food, a 2-3 minute walk away. The center does have contacts with a local caterer and sandwiches etc…can be arranged! As you might have gathered we cannot recommend it highly enough and if you are looking for a venue for day away, for team building, prayer or reflection this is an ideal venue with lots of car parking available

The members of the Federation of Catholic Voluntary Nursing Homes who are in senior management positions, really enjoyed their training day in The Margaret Aylward Centre. Bright, Modern, Spacious and Peaceful

Veritas launched the Pope’s encyclical in the centre and we found it to be a  great place to have a launch.  It’s bright, modern, spacious and peaceful with staff on hand to cater for your every need.  We got great feedback from our attendees about the event and the venue had a very large part to play in this.

Certain That We Will Use the Centre Again

All of our staff at Don Bosco Care found the Margaret Aylward Centre most welcoming. The setting and lay out of the building is uplifting and I would say inspirational for a conference/meeting/retreat. This venue I felt gave us all a positive start to our day’s work and all our staff loved the place. I am certain that we will use the centre again.
