The Season of Creation is our special time for the Creator and each other, when we live out our faith’s call to care for creation. From September 1 to October 4, Christians around the world celebrate the Season of Creation. Some of us pray, some of us do hands-on projects, some of us advocate. We all protect creation. It’s powerfully good work that’s urgently needed. https://www.catholicbishops.ie/2019/07/17/season-of-creation-2019/
We had nine lovely days together in late June, where we meditated, reflected and lived in silence here, by day. Led by Korko Moses SJ, a Jesuit based in Kolkatta diocese in India, over 30 participants were given a taster of Ashram in the beautiful surroundings of the centre here. It was a real blessing for us all.
We were delighted to welcome our own Holy Faith Sisters Extended Leadership Team, for a week of meetings in July. It was a blessed and fruitful time for all, full of hope and good humour. ” Let us therefore take heart again and begin anew” (Margaret Aylward 1:1857)
It was lovely to visit the Lantern Centre in Synge street for a multicultural celebration of International Women’s Day 2019 last Friday. Thanks to Doris, Sisters of Faith for Peace for the photos!

Culture Night is celebrated every September, when free cultural events are held in towns and cities all over the country. Wherever and however you celebrated Culture Night 2018, we hope you had as nice a time as we had here in the Margaret Aylward Centre. We walked, talked, sang and celebrated thanks to the enthusiasm of botanists, the experience of historians and the joy of youthful singers! Maria Cullen and Howard Fox started the evening with the very popular Botanical Walk, providing our new brochure [...]
