On Oct 11 each year Holy Faith Sisters, Associates and colleagues commemorate the life of Margaret Aylward, foundress of the Holy Faith Sisters, in whose honour we named our centre. In her day, the late 19th century, she was a well- known activist in Dublin, working on behalf of poor people, setting up many schools. She believed that education was the key to a better future.
