THE MINDFUL PATH
In an increasingly busy and frantic world it is important to make time to come home to our own hearts. When we begin to slow down and pay attention it becomes easier to be still in the present moment.
The aim of The Mindful Path is to nurture compassion and loving kindness towards oneself, others and the natural world. The focus is on mindfulness as presence of heart and coming home to ourselves. It is suitable both for beginners and those already on the path.
In this series of classes participants will be introduced to the principles of mindfulness practice. We will learn how to follow the breath and allow it to anchor us in each moment. There will be opportunities to practise sitting and walking meditation and other gentle movement exercises. Guided meditation will be accompanied by instrumental music and sacred poetry. We will cultivate a sense of spacious awareness in an atmosphere of non-judging and compassion.

Anne’s life is a commitment to serving, celebrating and cultivating the languages of the heart through poetry, mindfulness and creative writing. For almost thirty years she was a lecturer in Religious Studies and her qualifications span the fields of education, theology, spirituality, drama, literature and writing. She compliments her rich academic background with diverse trainings in spiritual development, voice, poetry by heart, sacred clowning, drama and meditation. Besides her academic writing she is also a published poet, renowned for her ability to speak poetry from the heart. Anne’s courses offer a unique and trans-formative path towards mindful living.
