The Path is Made by Walking Series – Session 2: Bibliodrama
February 5 @ 7:30 pm - 8:45 pm
This workshop builds on the participants identification with the characters of the Bible and their own faith journey. The facilitator uses techniques from Psychodrama, Bibliodrama and Psychosynthesis to engage with the Gospel stories in a dynamic and meaningful way.
Sequence of the Workshop:
- Participants are invited to choose a particular person in the Bible who they are attracted to and through a process of identification enter into the story of that character.
- They are each invited to dialogue with other personas chosen by the other members of the group. Each participant gets an insight into where they are at in terms of their faith journey and a sense of community and belonging on the path. This activity can be a light-hearted setting e.g. the local coffee shop or football match
- The participants are invited to work with a particular New Testament Parable/Vignette selected by the group. Together they deepen a sense of dynamic and meaningful engagement with Scripture as a motif for their own faith journey
- Working with a particular New Testament Parable/Vignette selected by the retreat group. Together they deepen that sense of call to life in abundance and freedom using various techniques: fishbowl / Interview/work shopping vignettes – Doubling and Role – Reversal.
