Welcoming Summer – Sacred Dance With Barbara Perry

Sacred Dance is a gentle, empowering movement that can help bring about a greater integration and harmony between heart, body, mind and spirit. With its roots in the European classical and folk-dance traditions, dancing in circles to beautiful and inspiring music can help develop a sense of community and offer moments of deep inner stillness and peace. This event will celebrate the sunlight and bright days of summer, the sense of wellbeing it evokes in us and the joy of sharing it with others.

About Barbara Perry chf, B.A, B Mus., Dip Psych., Dip. Dance Meditation /Sacred Dance

Barbara is a Holy Faith sister and a graduate of the Institute for Dance Meditation/Sacred Dance in Germany. She leads workshops, rituals and dancing circles in Ireland and abroad.
From a very early age, Barbara studied classical music and ballet.  While music has always been part of her life, she concluded her classical ballet training during her teen years.  However, to Barbara’s delight, dance made a welcome return to her life at the millenium, in the form of Dance Meditation/Sacred Dance.  Barbara has trained with several teachers but the most transformative and enduring influence has been her encounter with Friedel Kloke-Eibl founder of the Association of Dance Meditation/ Sacred Dance in Germany, under whose direction she undertook an intensive training over several years. She leads regular dancing circles and workshops in Ireland and abroad.
