With the death of Pope Francis earlier this year, the world and the Church lost a man of great wisdom, courage and vision. During this day we will explore and reflect on the core teachings of Pope Francis and the gift of hope they might hold for us.

Brian McKee is the director of Drumalis Retreat and Conference Centre, Larne, with over 40 years of experience in teaching and youth work. He has worked extensively in conflict resolution, focusing on anti-social behavior and violence. Brian previously served as Diocesan Director of youth ministry for 10 years and chaired the National Committee of Diocesan Youth Directors in Ireland. He is a regular conference speaker and author of “Ardoyne 69-Stories of Struggle and Hope” (2020).

Séan Goan is Scripture scholar with many years of work in the areas of education and Adult Faith Development. He has studied Scripture in Rome and Jerusalem and written commentaries on the Sunday Readings and on the Gospel of John. He is a founder member of the Tarsus Scripture School.
