Celebrating the Season of Creation #1

Creation, a sacred gift: A series of centre run events celebrating the gift, the act and the fruits of creation

These events are an attempt to re-connect ourselves with God the Creator, to deepen our relationship with the Giver of all Life and to see the Hand of God guiding and sustaining our planet.

Through mediations, visualisations, sharing and ritual we understand that creation is a great thought and a great act of love by God, the Source of all that is.

Celebrating the Season of Creation #1: Tuesday, 5 September 2023 | 11am – 1pm

The Season of Creation is marked throughout the Christian world from 1 September to 4 October (Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi) and celebrates the joy of creation as well as encouraging awareness-raising initiatives to protect the natural environment. This year’s theme is “Let Justice and Peace Flow” and we  as the people of God must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice. As Christians we are called to love our neighbour-but who is our neighbour? Weather permitting this event will include a creation walk around the beautiful grounds of the Holy Faith Convent where we will get to know our neighbour’s a little better.

World Habitat Day: Wednesday, 4 October 2023 | 11am – 1pm

Samhain and Saints: Wednesday, 1 November 2023 | 11am – 1pm

Winter Solstice-Light & Darkness: Wednesday, 20 December 2023 | 11am – 1pm
