It was an honour and a privilege to participate in the event on Monday, 17th October to mark UN Eradication of Poverty Day 2022 at the Poverty Stone, and to hear so many people of courage share their stories of struggle and hope with such honesty. Adding a musical touch to the occasion were the choir of St Mary’s School,  Glasnevin, the children of St Laurence O’Toole Primary schools and the women from Saol, and there was warmth and friendship in the gathering which even the cold wind blowing down the quays couldn’t dispel.
